SOBE Blackberry Mojito Cocktail
It’s still plenty warm in Colorado and I’m not even close to thinking about Fall. That I’m already seeing people post recipes with pumpkin makes me a bit verklempt and I just want to yell, ‘NO!!’ So I promise until they pry my wet, cold hands from a hose that I’m using to water plants in the snow I’ll be heralding all things warm weather for as long as I can…today that includes this simple and delicious SOBE® Blackberry Mojito Cocktail.
My girls always loved SOBE drinks; they were a special treat. I wasn’t that mom who kept an assortment of pop always cold and ready, no, my poor children had to make do with water when they were thirsty…can you believe it? So a trip to the local market would sometimes find me caving to a demand because even I thought these sounded SO good…and they are.
The SOBE story began in 1995, when the founders dreamt up a flavorful concoction inspired by the sun-drenched beaches and laidback vibes of South Beach, Florida. Their first drink, the SOBE® Black Tea 3G, was an unheard of blend of Ginseng, Guarana and herbal ingredients and it remains popular still today.
Two of my favorites have always been South Beach Sunset; a blend of mango-melon flavors, and Liz Blizz, flavored after one of my favorite summer cocktails, the Pina Colada. I like to keep a couple in the fridge and if in the mood for a cocktail, a bit of rum or vodka added to an ice filled glass of SOBE® works just fine.
SOBE® has recently released two new offerings that I thought just perfect for cocktails; the Midnight Mojito and the En Fuego. The En Fuego is a limeade concoction that is perfect on its own or blended with tequila and the Midnight Mojito sounded perfect for a late summer blend of juice, blackberries, mint and lime. Blackberries and mint are muddled then mixed with the other ingredients to serve up a beautiful cocktail with a blackberry base. I could have finished off the entire thing…except then I would be taking a nap right now and not writing this post!
As new as these two are; you might not be able to find them yet so in that case just muddle another half dozen berries and add some additional simple syrup to taste. You should not miss this late summer blackberry business, that’s for sure!

Thank you for providing such useful information.
I forgot Sobe existed! And yes I was the same way with my kids. This sounds like a real treat, thanks for continuing to share warm weather recipes!
Thank you for letting me know you still want warm weather recipes. I can’t work in an environment of featuring ‘next season’ recipes. This is what we actually eat here and pumpkin is not yet on the menu! 🙂
I love the Sobe drinks and the strawberry daiquiri is my favorite. I’ve never thought of making a cocktail with any and this new flavor sounds delicious. Now this I think I can make easily at home and will be giving this a try!
Heck Amanda, with most of them just add ice and some vodka. Instant cocktail. Or the Pina Colada with rum…so EASY!
I enjoy easy too sometimes…and these make it SO easy I love them!
Sounds like a great drink! I haven’t experimented with the SOBE stuff but it sounds like fun. Heck, blackberry anything sounds like fun! Thanks for this.
They have some great flavors. I could have probably made this a bit quicker without the extra berries and mint BUT for me that was sort of a requierment. Plus a garnish…my friends now expect a nicely garnished drink…I can’t disappoint can I? 🙂
